Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Traffic Management Specialist to arrange shipment of GPMS cargo worldwide by air, land and sea. The role requires ensuring compliance with international and DOD regulations and coordinating with multiple systems for accurate cargo movement.

The position emphasizes precise documentation, hazardous materials handling, and real-time asset visibility across CMOs, GATES and IBS platforms, with daily interaction with carriers and host country authorities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and ability to detect problems.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, accepts documentation and processes outbound/inbound cargo in the Defense Transportation System.
• Verifies data such as nomenclatures, TCNs, TACs, and ITAR certifications.
• Prepares shipping documents and data for CMOS/GATES/IBS.
• Inspects hazardous materials per applicable regulations and ensures proper labeling and certification.
• Maintains manifest logs and prepares load plans for aircraft and sea/land transport.
• Coordinates with carriers and host nation authorities for imports/exports.
