Generator Technician

We are urgently hiring a Generator Technician for Saudi-based Manufacturing company.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in generators.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
• Inspect and repair engines, alternators, batteries, control panels, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
• Perform load testing and ensure generators are operating efficiently and safely.
• Monitor generator performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Replace defective parts and components using proper tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and service instructions.
• Maintain service records, maintenance reports, and daily work logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and on-site repairs when required.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant technical field preferred.
• Minimum 35 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.
• Good knowledge of diesel generators, electrical systems, and engine troubleshooting.
• Experience with generator brands such as Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, FG Wilson, Kohler, or similar will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with control panels, ATS systems, and synchronization systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently under site conditions.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
