Job summary

Our client is a leading large-scale project company in contracting and construction, seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to oversee financial operations from our Muscat office.

You will lead project cost controls, treasury activities, and compliance across GCC, manage working capital, and mentor the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls across ongoing infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 12+ years of total experience with Finance Manager experience in contracting/construction.
• Arabic native or fluent with good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project cost controls, cash flow forecasting, and budget variance analyses for large-scale construction milestones.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for GM and Group CFO.
• Ensure Oman and GCC compliance, tax requirements, and IFRS accounting practices.
• Manage liquidity and working capital; coordinate subcontractor payments and client invoicing.
• Maintain banking relationships to secure project financing, bonds, and letters of credit.
• Implement internal controls and risk management across active sites.
• Lead and mentor the local finance and accounting team.

Job Description

Our client is a leading large-scale project company in the field of contracting and construction. We are seeking a highly seasoned and strategic Finance Manager to oversee financial operations for major infrastructure and construction developments out of our Muscat office.

The Main Tasks

• Project Financial Control: Oversee project cost controls, cash flow forecasting, and budget variance analyses specifically tailored for large-scale construction milestones.
• Strategic Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements directly to the GM and Group CFO.
• GCC Compliance & Treasury: Ensure complete adherence to Oman and wider GCC financial regulations, tax requirements, and standard IFRS accounting practices.
• Working Capital Management: Manage liquidity, cash flow allocation, and coordinate closely with commercial teams on subcontractor payments and client invoicing.
• Banking & Financial Relations: Maintain and manage corporate banking relationships to secure project financing, performance bonds, and letters of credit.
• Risk Management & Internal Audit: Implement stringent internal control systems to mitigate financial risks across active project sites.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the local finance and accounting team to optimize daily transactional workflows.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Minimum BA in Finance or Accounting.

Experience: 12 plus years of total experience, with proven tenure as a Finance Manager specifically within the contracting and construction field. Preferred exposure to at least one GCC country market.

Languages: Native or fluent Arabic speaker with a good command of the English language.
