Job summary

JOFB is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and assure accurate, timely financial reporting from Muscat, Oman. The role requires 5–7 years of accounting experience, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and potential CPA/ACCA/CMA advantages.

Key duties include supervising accounts payable/receivable, GL, month-end close, audits, and budgeting. Strong Excel and ERP skills are preferred in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional certification preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in a practical business setting.
• Knowledge of local tax and regulatory requirements is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and supervise AP/AR.
• Oversee journal entries, GL reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare management reports and financial statements for stakeholders.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks and external parties as needed.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with applicable standards.

WE ARE HIRING ACCOUNTS MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations
• Supervise accounts payable
• receivable and general ledger activities
• Ensure timely monthly and year-end financial closing
• Review reconciliations
• journal entries and financial records
• Prepare management reports and financial statements
• Monitor cash flow expenses and account balances
• Coordinate with auditors banks and relevant external parties
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting tax and company requirements
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities

Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Statements and Finance, with experience in reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management.

Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and support decision-making.

Candidates should possess practical experience in Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger management, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

Candidates should possess knowledge of Fixed Assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset reconciliations.

Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.

Proficiency in accounting software, ERP and MS Excel, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

Ability to work on-site in Muscat, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effective with cross-functional teams.

Experience in construction, food, retail, or trading businesses and familiarity with local tax and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
