Job summary

Baker Hughes in Oman is seeking a Field Specialist – Drilling & Completion Fluids to provide on-site services, measure and test fluid properties, supervise fluid mixing and pumping, and offer technical recommendations to optimize drilling operations.

You will work with customers at rig sites, manage inventory, support sales, and uphold Baker Hughes policies while delivering environmentally safe drilling fluids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience with Drilling & Completion Fluids.
• Basic product line knowledge.
• Demonstrated industry experience.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping.
• Maintain fluid properties at rig sites by accurately testing.
• Manage inventory at customer well sites.
• Ensure effective customer service by keeping rig-site customers informed and creating solutions to problems.
• Be trained in prevention and cure of Lost Circulation and stuck pipe.
• Conduct sales calls at field level or accompany Sales Representatives.
• Assist operations in providing customers with effective and environmentally safe drilling fluids.
• Conduct all business activities in line with Baker Hughes policies.

As a Field Specialist - Drilling & Completion Fluids, you will provide on site services by measuring, testing and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific product and practical recommendations for controlling fluid properties under broad direction.

As a Field Specialist - Drilling & Completion Fluids, you will be responsible for:

• Providing onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping.
• Maintaining fluid properties at rig sites by accurately testing.
• Managing inventory at customer well sites.
• Ensuring effective customer service by keeping rig-site customers informed and creating solutions to problems.
