Job summary

OQ is seeking a Technician for Power Controls & Communication in Duqm. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and troubleshooting in a refinery/petrochemical plant environment, ensuring the proper functioning of electrical systems.

This requires a Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience. The role includes conducting preventive, corrective, and annual maintenance tasks on various electrical equipment, promoting safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Technician.
• Senior Technician role requires 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installations.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Record work findings and maintain compliance with HSE standards.

Skills

Electrical Technician experience

Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems

Experience with power transformers and VFDs

Proficiency in using testing devices

Team player and strong communication skills

Education
