Job summary

Al Khorayef Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Oman. This role involves performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance on low-voltage VSDs, optimizing ESP operations, and leading on-site interventions. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, at least 4 years of maintenance experience particularly in the oil and gas sector, and strong skills in reporting and documentation.

Additionally, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is essential. The position demands an independent approach to service execution while adhering to HSE standards.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• VSD Maintenance & Repair – Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs on low‑voltage VSDs; troubleshoot power electronics, IGBTs, control boards, cooling systems and harmonic filters; conduct power‑quality analysis and waveform capture.
• ESP Operation & Optimization – Install, commission and troubleshoot ESP systems, including motor, pump seal, sensor and surface VSD; monitor ESP performance data (amperage, vibration, temperature, pressure) to optimize run life and efficiency.
• Field Service Execution – Lead on‑site interventions independently, including emergency breakdown support; read and understand electrical schematics and control system diagrams; ensure work complies with HSE standards (LOTO, arc‑flash, confined space).
