Job summary

Al Khorayef Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Oman. This role involves performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance on low-voltage VSDs, optimizing ESP operations, and leading on-site interventions. Job description

Responsibilities
  • VSD Maintenance & Repair – Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs on low‑voltage VSDs; troubleshoot power electronics, IGBTs, control boards, cooling systems and harmonic filters; conduct power‑quality analysis and waveform capture.
  • ESP Operation & Optimization – Install, commission and troubleshoot ESP systems, including motor, pump seal, sensor and surface VSD; monitor ESP performance data (amperage, vibration, temperature, pressure) to optimize run life and efficiency.
  • Field Service Execution – Lead on‑site interventions independently, including emergency breakdown support; read and understand electrical schematics and control system diagrams; ensure work complies with HSE standards (LOTO, arc‑flash, confined space).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance field with previous oil and gas experience required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Good reporting and documentation skills.
