Job summary

OQ is seeking an executive leader to deliver its upstream capital projects portfolio in Oman. You will direct planning, engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and close-out to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and functionality.

The role sets standards, governs design and contracting strategy, and ensures rigorous project controls and HSE across all activities. The role requires 14+ years in capital project delivery in oil & gas, with strong leadership and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English.
• Minimum 14+ years of progressive experience in capital project delivery in oil & gas.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver capital projects from planning through commissioning and close-out.
• Lead upstream project portfolio planning and resource optimisation.
• Direct integrated project reviews to maximise deliverability and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain a project portfolio framework and performance reporting.
• Oversee the master plan, set project strategies and interfaces between projects.
• Maintain portfolio design and construction standards and governance.
