Job summary

Confidential Company in Muscat seeks an Estimator to handle aluminium fabrication projects. This role involves reviewing tender documents, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with teams to ensure alignment on technical and cost aspects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with 3–5 years of experience in aluminium estimation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other estimation tools is essential. Strong analytical and communication skills are also required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in aluminium estimation, preferably in façade systems and glazing works.
• Hands-on experience with estimation and design tools.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications related to aluminium fabrication works.
• Analyze project scope, feasibility, and technical requirements for custom aluminium systems.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, labor, equipment, and installation.
• Develop pricing structures for aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Prepare, verify, and validate BOQs and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including tender documentation and project timelines.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, and submitted tenders.
• Collaborate with design, production, and project teams to ensure alignment of technical and cost aspects.
• Communicate with clients to clarify technical queries and revise estimates as required.
• Identify potential project risks such as cost escalation, material shortages, and design constraints.
• Propose value engineering solutions to optimize cost and improve efficiency.
• Continuously improve estimation processes and methodologies.

Qualifications
