Job summary

SKC Management Consulting is seeking a Draftsman - Aluminum with 4+ years of experience in design and drafting for construction projects. The role requires thorough understanding of shop drawings, elevations, sections, and layout drawings for aluminum fabrication, plus proficiency in AutoCAD.

You will coordinate with consultants and ensure compliant, timely revisions. The position involves preparing cutting lists, MTO/MRS workflows, As-Built drawings, and close collaboration with the line

Qualifications

• 4+ years of design and drafting experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Study scope of work and prepare shop drawings.
• Prepare elevations, plans, sections, details, and layout drawings for aluminum fabrication.
• Create Material Take Off (MTO) and raise Material Request Sheet (MRS) when required.
• Prepare As-Built drawings and perform internal checks prior to submission.
• Coordinate with consultants on shop drawings and transmittals; highlight scope-related comments.
• Maintain shop drawings schedule with every revision and avoid variance with scope.

Basic Job Responsibilities

Thorough study and knowledge of scope of work before generating shop drawings Preparation of shop drawings elevations plans sections details and layout drawings aluminum fabrication drawings Drawing Details to be discussed and verified internally prior to generating shop drawings Preparation of Aluminum cutting list Curtain wall amp glass fabrication cutting list Prepare material take off MTO amp raise material request sheet MRS when required Preparation of As-Built drawings Knowledge in aluminum system like Technal Gulf Extrusions Reynears Arexal Smart Napco Arabian etc Consultant comments on shop drawings and transmittals to be carefully studied and scope related comments to be highlighted to the line manager before commencing shop drawings revision Shop drawings shall be carefully reviewed prior to submission to avoid variance with scope or consultant comments Perform quantity take off when required to assist estimation site amp procurement teams Technical communications with structural designer and suppliers In every project Complete and clear shop drawings schedule shall be maintained and updated with every revision

Experience : Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years with design and drafting within the construction industry

Qualification : Diploma or Equivalent

Skills : Candidates should possess very good knowledge of AutoCAD.
