Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Applications Engineer to design, optimize and support ESP systems for oilfield projects in Oman. The role covers field and office activities, including performance analysis and customer-facing technical guidance.

The candidate will lead ESP-related troubleshooting, engage with customer teams, and travel to rig sites or facilities as required. A degree in STEM and 5+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in application engineering and well surveillance/optimization.
• Ability to travel and operate in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize and recommend ESP systems for new installations and workovers.
• Perform performance analysis, inflow/outflow modeling, pump sizing and equipment selection.
• Prepare technical proposals, design reports and operational recommendations.
• Monitor ESP performance and identify opportunities to improve run life and production.
• Investigate ESP issues and provide timely corrective actions; coordinate with field teams.
• Attend meetings with customers as the technical focal point and present updates.
• Provide on-site and remote support during critical well interventions.
• Participate in DIFA investigations and track corrective actions.
