Job summary

Baker Hughes in Oman is seeking an Applications Engineer to design, optimize, and recommend ESP systems for new installations and workovers. You will perform performance analysis, pump sizing, and equipment selection, preparing technical proposals and reports.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least five years of experience in ESP applications and well surveillance, with the ability to travel and operate in a global matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5+ years' experience in application engineering and well surveillance and optimization.
• Experience coordinating teams and priorities to meet objectives.
• Willingness to travel and work across a global matrix organization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and recommend ESP systems for new installations and workovers.
• Perform well performance analysis, inflow/outflow modeling, pump sizing, and equipment selection.
• Prepare technical proposals, design reports, and operational recommendations.
• Provide remote and onsite support during critical well interventions.
• Monitor ESP performance and identify opportunities to improve run life and production.
