Job summary

School of Foundation Studies is seeking an English language lecturer to coordinate and teach courses in English language programs for post-secondary students. The role includes preparing outlines, assessments, and assignments, and delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate levels.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in TESOL/Applied Linguistics/EL&Lit, CELTA or TEFL, and IELTS 7.0+. Responsibilities include mentoring TAs, serving on committees, and contributing to best practices in

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English at tertiary level.
• Experience in ESP curriculum design and ESL test construction.
• IELTS score of 7.0 or above and CELTA/TEFL certificates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and teach one or more English language courses per semester.
• Deliver high-quality English language teaching to post-secondary and undergraduate students.
• Prepare course outlines, assessments, and assignments.
• Evaluate course effectiveness at semester end.
• Mentor Teaching Assistants and new faculty as assigned by HOD/Dean.
• Maintain attendance records and contribute to college-wide teaching initiatives.
