Job description

In Rosewood Red Sea, the Electrician ensures the uninterrupted, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical systems that underpin guest comfort, ambiance, and critical operations. This role demands technical precision, proactive maintenance, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards, contributing directly to the reliability of infrastructure across guest rooms, villas, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Operating within a dynamic, multicultural workforce, the Electrician demonstrates adaptability, supports operational continuity through flexible shift coverage, and contributes to a disciplined and safety-driven engineering environment.

Responsibilities

1. Electrical Systems Operation & Maintenance

  • Maintain and troubleshoot: MDB, SMDB, DB panels, wiring systems, lighting, and power distribution
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply across guest rooms, villas, and public areas
  • Perform load monitoring and fault isolation
  • Ensure Weekly Generator No Load Test.
  • Ensure Load test Semi-Annually during low occupancy

2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and system performance
  • Ensure safe electrical supply to kitchens, cold rooms, and laundry areas
  • Support hygiene compliance by maintaining equipment without contamination risks
  • Coordinate with relevant teams during HACCP audits

4. Safety & Emergency Response

  • Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe isolation procedures
  • Respond to electrical emergencies including:
    • Power failures
    • Short circuits
    • Equipment breakdowns
  • Support fire and life safety systems and emergency lighting

5. Shift Operations & Flexibility

  • Operate across day, afternoon, and night shifts as required

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Respond to electrical emergencies including:
    • Power failures
    • Short circuits
    • Equipment breakdowns
  • Support fire and life safety systems and emergency lighting

7. Cross-Functional Support & Workforce Adaptability

  • Provide temporary coverage for other roles during absence or leave
  • Collaborate effectively within a multinational and culturally diverse team
  • Support broader engineering operations when required

8. Annual Performance & Development

  • Participate in annual performance reviews
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and response
  • Compliance with safety and HACCP standards
Qualifications & Experience
