EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE: To lead and manage all core technical production disciplines within the shipyard, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of hull, piping, mechanical, electrical, and outfitting works in alignment with approved project plans, budgets, and schedules. To lead and oversee project planning, execution such as preplanning/scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, setting appropriate priorities based on commercial/project management requirements, task tracking, inter department coordination/problem solving and cost controlling via efficient resources utilization and goal oriented. The role supports the VP Production by translating production strategy into technical execution excellence, optimizing productivity, and ensuring compliance with quality, HSSE, and international shipyard standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Implement production strategies, policies, and targets as defined by the VP Production and COO.
- Translate approved production plans into detailed technical execution strategies.
- Support continuous optimization of production methods, sequencing, and resource utilization.
Technical Operations Leadership
- Lead and coordinate all technical production departments to ensure integrated and efficient execution.
- Identify execution risks and implement corrective actions
- Enforce standardized work procedures and technical best practice
- Direct and control all technical departments to ensure timely, safe, and quality execution of works.
- Ensure technical readiness, manpower adequacy, tools, and materials availability.
- Resolve technical bottlenecks and interface issues across disciplines.
Production Execution & Control
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, class, and client requirements.
- Monitor daily productivity, progress, and rework trends; initiate corrective actions.
- Monitor manhour consumption, material utilization and production efficiency
- Ensure proper work packaging and handover between departments.
- Ensure inter department coordination for avoid possible interruption in work locations.
Quality, HSSE & Compliance
- Enforce compliance with quality plans, ITPs, HSSE rules, and environmental controls.
- Promote a safety-first culture across all technical departments.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for NCRs and incidents.
People Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead department heads through performance management, coaching, and development.
- Identify technical skill gaps and support training initiatives.
- Build a strong second-line technical leadership pipeline.
REPORTS:
- Provide regular operational and technical performance reports to VP Production.
- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Planning, and Marine teams.
- Provide technical input to rendering, variations and claims as required
- Interface with class and client representatives on technical matters

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Naval / Marine Engineering
- 12 15 years shipyard or heavy industry experience
- Strong multi-discipline technical leadership background
- Proven execution and productivity management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
