Job summary

Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to support the Chef de Partie in a busy hotel kitchen. You will prep, cook and present dishes for your section while supervising junior staff and upholding hygiene and safety standards.

You should have a culinary diploma or degree and 3–5 years in hotel kitchens, with leadership experience preferred. English fluency, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institute preferred.
• 3–5 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written); additional languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for the assigned section.
• Ensure consistency and quality in taste, portion, and presentation according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Supervise junior kitchen staff and guide Commis I and II in the section.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Support inventory checks and portion control to minimize waste.
