Job summary

Amentum seeks a Power Gen Mechanic to operate, maintain, test, repair, service and store electrical generating equipment, water distribution systems, flood lights, air compressors and arresting systems in support of USAF/ Amentum contingencies.

Candidate must have high/low voltage generator experience, read electrical schematics, and be able to travel domestically and internationally. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; drivers license and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with high/low voltage generators and load testing or equivalent automotive/mechanical experience.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and maintenance data.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical equipment for damages and operation.
• Operate and test electrical distribution systems and equipment.
• Prepare documentation including work orders and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety, quality standards and manuals per USAF/Amentum directives.
