Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Oman is seeking a skilled bartender to craft cocktails, wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages for guests. You will ensure quality, greet guests, tailor drinks to preferences, and maintain a clean bar area.

The role requires 1–2 years bartending experience, High School Diploma or equivalent, fluency in English, and knowledge of POS systems. International hotel brand experience is preferred; training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years bartending experience.
• Experience with international hotel brands is preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate bar equipment and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
• Basic numeracy for cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages according to standard recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
• Handle bar equipment and tools including shakers, blenders, and coffee machines.
• Greet guests and provide personalized guest experiences.
• Customize beverages to guest preferences while maintaining quality.
• Provide recommendations and answer beverage/menu questions.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and monitor stock levels.
• Assist with inventory reception, storage, and rotation.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
