Job summary

OMRAN Group is seeking an experienced construction professional for hospitality projects in Oman. The role focuses on strategic contribution, planning weekly construction programs, and participating in technical and quality meetings to guide corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will lead staff in construction activities, set performance targets, and contribute to policy implementation for design management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly programs of construction related activities.
• Attend technical and quality meetings to provide inputs for planning and corrective actions.
• Proactively develop, coach and train Hospitality construction staff.
• Set targets and evaluate performance of subordinates.
• Contribute to design management policies, procedures and controls.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and controls.
• Monitor construction programs, procedures, contractors and consultants for timeliness and quality.
• Assist in certifying invoices at various stages of completion.
• Monitor productivity of laborers and manage safety standards on site.

Responsibilities Strategic Contribution Develop weekly programs of construction relevant activities as per the terms of contract Attend various technical and quality related meetings to provide relevant inputs for planning and corrective actions Leadership amp People Proactively develop coach and train staff of Hospitality construction Set targets and evaluate performance of subordinates Policies Systems Processes amp Procedures Contribute in the implementation of section policies procedures and controls covering all areas of Design Management so that all relevant procedural legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality cost-effective service Quality Health Safety amp Environment Ensure compliance to all relevant quality health safety and environmental management policies procedures and controls across the section to guarantee employee safety legislative compliance delivery of high-quality products service and a responsible environmental attitude Operational Read specifications and drawings and Bill of Quantities Monitor construction programs Monitor procedures in relation to the assigned packages Oversee the work being carried out by contractors and consultants on regular basis to assess timeliness and quality of work Confer with consultants contractors and construction professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures complaints and construction issues Monitor construction fit out and related works Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards building codes and specifications Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs Work with Engineers to certify invoices at various stages of completion of work as per authority levels assigned Monitor Productivity of laborers hired by contractors man hours spent Education & Experience A minimum of bachelor s degree in civil or architectural engineering or equivalent. A minimum of 8 years experience in construction field with at least 4 years in a position of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities. Experience with high end office buildings is a plus.
