Job summary

gu-recruitment is seeking a Construction Manager for the Wind Turbine Manufacturing Factory project in Duqm, Oman. You will act as the Client's on-site civil engineering representative, overseeing civil works performed by the General Contractor and coordinating with the Controller/PMC to ensure alignment with design and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in client-side or consultant roles.
• Strong oversight of General Contractor civil works.
• Experience coordinating with PMC / Controller companies.
• Prior experience in Oman or GCC countries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Client's on-site civil engineering representative.
• Review and comment on civil designs, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor civil works by the General Contractor for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Controller / PMC company to align inspections and technical assessments.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, IFC drawings and standards.
• Oversee foundations, earthworks, concrete works, steel structures, roads, and buildings.
• Witness inspections and quality checks from a Client perspective.
• Identify technical risks and report deviations to the Client.
• Support the Client in resolving civil technical issues.
• Review as-built drawings, test results and handover documentation.
• Participate in technical and coordination meetings with Client, Controller and GC.
• Promote and monitor site HSE compliance.
