Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks a senior leader to head Engineering Planning and Construction for a major port project. You will manage marine and landside infrastructure, breakwater, dredging, berths, yard development, roads and buildings, overseeing pre-construction, execution and commissioning on site.

Applicants should have 25+ years in port infrastructure with at least 10 years in senior leadership, plus greenfield port development experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 25+ years of experience in port infrastructure with 10+ years in senior leadership roles on major port projects.
• Greenfield port development experience including Breakwater, Dredging, Berth & Yard development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management Team including Engineering Planning, Commercial, Quality, Safety and Execution across the port project lifecycle.
• Establish and enforce a zero-harm safety culture with compliance to international maritime HSE standards and local regulations.
• Review design bases, technical specifications and engineering documents from Contractors/Consultants and ensure constructability and value engineering.
• Coordinate with concessioning authorities, internal management and PMC for surveys, studies and approvals; monitor progress and baselines.
• Oversee risk management, audits and NCRs, and drive timely closure of issues affecting schedule and budget.
• Establish project baselines, critical paths and interfaces among engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, construction and installation.
