Job summary

Hydrocarbon Finder in Muscat, Oman seeks a Chief Mechanic to oversee maintenance, repairs and installation of mechanical equipment including compressors, pumps, motors, and engines. You will lead a mechanical team, coordinate with engineers and technicians, and ensure work meets deadlines and quality standards.

The role requires 8–10+ years in mechanical systems (HVAC & Plumbing) and a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in Mechanical Systems (HVAC & Plumbing).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair prime movers and engines.
• Repair gas compressors, heat exchangers and air dryers.
• Replace regulators and valves in air system.
• Assist other departments in equipment maintenance, repair or operation.
• Lead, mentor and support mechanical team.
• Perform engineering analysis and develop quality design for projects.
• Manage shop drawings and submittals.
• Manage project issues and resolutions.
• Provide feedback on standards and best practices.
• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Assist with project management on select projects.

ChiefMechanic responsible of the Maintenance, repairs and installation of all associatedmechanical equipment. This includes compressors, and other equipment. Changeoil and filters and lubricate all vehicles maintenance and repair, Pumps,Motors, Engines and other mechanical.

Requirements

Role and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair prime movers and otherengines.
• Maintain and repair two stage and fourstage Gas/air compressor, heat exchangers and air dryers.
• Replace regulators and all valves in airsystem.
• Repair pneumatic pipe hoisting and handlingequipment.
• Assist other departments in equipmentmaintenance, repair or operation.
• Work closely with other engineers,designers, and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Assistant with project management on selectprojects.
• Manage shop drawings and submittals.
• Manage project issues and resolutions.
• Provide feedback on standards and bestpractices.
• Lead, mentor and support mechanical team.
• Perform all engineering analysis requiredand develop quality design for projects.

Qualifications:

Skills:

• Skilled Revit and CADD user.
• Understanding of current building codes& regulations.
• Adept at prioritizing workload andproactively communicating in order to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to apply technical expertisequickly.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Expert level understanding of MEP drawingsand specifications.
• Extremely responsive and dedicated tomeeting expectations.
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlinesin a team environment.
