Job summary

Courtyard Nizwa Resort in Oman is seeking a proactive Events Booking Manager to lead social and corporate catering, including guest rooms, with a focus on revenue and guest experiences.

You will sell, plan, and supervise events; negotiate contracts; coordinate menus and room setups; and ensure flawless execution through cross-department collaboration.

The role requires a flexible schedule, strong leadership, and a client-centric mindset to consistently deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in catering sales, hotel convention services, banquet management, hotel sales, or culinary arts (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Guest-focused with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Sell and manage social and corporate catering events, including guest rooms and banquet F&B.
• Negotiate contracts, suggest menus, and coordinate room setups.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure flawless event execution.
• Generate new business through solicitation, networking, and follow-up with past clients.
• Finalize and distribute BEOs and maintain event records.
• Lead pre-event, on-site, and post-event communications for service excellence.
• Monitor budgets, quotas, and revenue opportunities; boost catering in slow periods.
• Conduct site tours and facilitate client meetings.
• Train and guide staff to ensure smooth event operation.
