Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Muscat seeks a Bartender to join our luxury Food and Beverage team. You will follow the beverage production sequence, set up and operate a bar station, take guest orders, promote food and beverage offerings, and prepare wine and cocktails with care.

You will maintain bar area and stock, participate in inventory, ensure accurate cash handling, and respond to guest requests with warmth and efficiency, in a fast-paced 5-star hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment.
• A minimum of 1 year of Bartender experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication and verbal English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow production sequence of beverages and bar service.
• Maintain service standards with a high level of guest care.
• Set up and operate a bar station.
• Take orders and promote restaurant food and beverage offerings.
• Recommend and prepare wine and creative cocktails for guests.
• Coordinate service of food and beverages efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues affecting service delivery.
• Respond proactively to guest queries with effective communication.
• Perform opening and closing checklists for the restaurant.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly inventory.
• Manage cash float and cashiering.
• Maintain stock and rotate stock.

About the job

The Bartender reports to the Food and Beverage As Bartender you will be responsible for the following duties

• To always following the production sequence of all beverage products and bar sequence of service
• To always achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service
• To responsible the set-up and operation of a bar station section
• Provide services for guest such as order taking promoting restaurant food and beverage offerings
• Provide recommendation and prepare wine and creative cocktail choice for the guest
• To co-ordinate the service of food and beverage efficiently and accurately
• To report and follow up all maintenance defaults affecting efficient and professional delivery of service
• To respond proactively to guest queries followed by effective communication
• To perform all duties related to restaurant opening closing check list
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Bar Supervisor Assistant Manager

• To carry out daily weekly and monthly inventory
• Responsible for cash float and cashiering
• To maintain and order all the store requisition
• To maintain the stocks rotation

As Bartender we expect from you

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment
• A minimum of 1 year of Bartender experience
