Job summary

A'Sharqiyah University in Oman seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to manage invoices, cheques, petty cash, GL entries and monthly closing tasks. You will ensure accurate posting to the Payables system, verify against POs and GRNs, and support bank reconciliations and asset records.

The role requires at least 1 year in a related field, strong communication in English/Arabic, and a Bachelor degree. Fluent numeric and analytical skills are essential, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy against PO/GRN and posting to the Payables system.
• Handle cheque and petty cash payments; ensure proper approvals and signatures.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconciliations between GL, bank statements and journal entries.
• Enter journals (sales, purchase, payroll) and support monthly management accounts.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register including additions, relocations and disposals.
