Job summary

Euro Staffs in Muscat, Oman is seeking an experienced accountant who will manage financial records in line with Omani law and IFRS. You will prepare invoices, control documentation, and handle ledgers for AR and AP while ensuring timely financial statements and audit readiness.

The role requires payroll processing with WPS, tax filing for VAT, and coordination with banks and auditors. Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 3-5 years of experience as an accountant.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA certification or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills; ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks).
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Billing (invoicing, subscriptions, and payment processing) required.
• Knowledge of Oman's e-invoicing requirements.
• Experience with banking systems and WPS submissions.
• Fluent English required (Arabic is an advantage).
• Knowledge of Oman Tax Authority requirements (VAT, income tax).
• Attentive to detail, responsible, able to handle large volumes of data.
• Audit knowledge will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records in accordance with Oman's local legislation and IFRS standards
• Prepare and control primary documentation (invoices, delivery notes, payment orders)
• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
• Prepare bank payments and liaise with banks
• Calculate payroll and submit WPS (Wage Protection System) filings
• Issue sales invoices upon client request
• Calculate and file tax returns (VAT, where applicable)
• Assist in preparation for audits
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and banks
• Monitor budget and analyze variances
