Fulton Hogan Ltd in South Auckland is seeking a Zone Manager for the SH1 Papakura to Drury Stage 1B project. You will lead a geographic section, plan the work, drive construction methodologies and coordinate teams and subcontractors.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage budgets, programmes and forecast costs while maintaining safety, quality and environmental standards. The role offers hands-on leadership and opportunities to advance within a major infrastructure program.
We’re looking for a Zone Manager to join our SH1 Papakura to Drury Stage 1B project in South Auckland. Project Scope: SH1 P2D (Stage 1B) is part of a staged upgrade to improve SH1 and adjacent multi modal travel reliability, access, and safety. Stage 1B ties into Stage1A, NIMT Bridges, and completes a combined 6km of three laned SH1 in both directions, six new motorway bridges and multiple interfacing local roads, over motorway bridges, Shared User Paths (SUPs) and upgraded utilities. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of a geographic section of the project. You’ll be trusted to plan the work, drive construction methodology, lead teams and subcontractors, and keep delivery moving across safety, quality, programme and cost. We’re looking for someone with 8 to 10 years’ experience in a discipline, zone or project management role on major civil or infrastructure projects. A BE, NZCE or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Strong knowledge of NZS3910, the Construction Contracts Act, budget management, forecasting and subcontractor management. Proven ability to lead high performing teams, mentor others and build a collaborative, accountable team culture. Strong communication and relationship skills, with a track record of delivering quality outcomes while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.
