Job summary

Community Care Trust Aotearoa in Nelson (Whakatū) is seeking compassionate Youth Support Workers to help young people with high and complex needs lead fuller lives. You will build meaningful relationships, promote independence, and support daily activities with dignity and respect.

This hands-on role requires comfort with personal care in a high and complex needs environment and weekend shifts. A NZ driver’s licence and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with high and complex needs, including personal care.
• Ability to respond to changing needs in a supportive environment.
• Commitment to building trusting relationships with young people.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid certification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily activities, promoting independence and connection.
• Build meaningful relationships and encourage confidence and autonomy.
• Provide personal care with dignity in a high complex needs setting.
• Be available to work at least one weekend shift.
