Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) invites applications for a permanent, full-time Specialist Psychologist position within the Tū Māia Regional Youth Forensics Service at Greenlane in Auckland. The role focuses on forensic mental health services for young people and involves court-ordered reports or assessments as well as treatment within the Taiohi Tu Taiohi Ora sub-team.

Qualifications

• Registration with the NZ Psychology Board as a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of Practice.
• Experience with children and adolescents or forensic assessment.
• Patient-centred approach to delivery of care.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to biculturalism.
• Hold a current NZ Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments for young people under the care of Tū Māia.
• Deliver assessment and treatment using evidence-based practices.
• Provide effective risk and case management.
• Develop and follow treatment plans with service-users, families/whanau and other health professionals.
