Job summary

Southern Cross Campus is a Years 1-15 composite school in South Auckland seeking a Dean for Years 9–13. The role focuses on pastoral leadership, curriculum knowledge, and building strong relationships with students and whānau.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the New Zealand Teaching Council.
• Experience as a Dean or senior leader preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, whānau and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead pastoral care and student wellbeing for Years 9–13.
• Coordinate and support co-curricular life and school programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and whānau to support student progress.
• Contribute to school culture and disciplinary processes as required.

Southern Cross Campus is a Years 1-15 composite school in South Auckland with a reputation for being loyal, passionate and a hardworking school community.

We are looking for a Years 9 to 13 Dean who will bring to this role, New Zelanda curriculum knowledge, build strong pastoral relationships with our students, and have empathy with our school community whānau.

The successful candidate must support the proud character of Southern Cross Campus and contribute to the school’s co-curricular life.

Applicants must be registered with the New Zelanda Teaching Council.

The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from 62k to 90k, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
