Job summary

Stanmore Bay School is seeking an experienced Year 1 teacher for a full-time, permanent role. The position starts Term 1, 2027, with interviews arranged based on CV suitability.

The appointee will contribute to a wide range of learning areas and collaborate within a learning-focused environment. The successful candidate will bring recent Year 1 teaching experience, knowledge of collaborative learning spaces and restorative conversations, and a strong commitment to culturally responsive practices

Qualifications

• Recent and proven Year 1 teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction across Year 1 learning areas.
• Support collaborative learning and restorative practices in the classroom.
• Engage with the curriculum areas including English, Health and PE, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social sciences, Te reo Māori, Technology and The arts.

About the role

We seek an applicant who has recent and proven experience in a Year 1 learning space. Knowledge and experience in collaborative learning spaces, BSLA, Hero SMS, PB4L, culturally responsive and relationship-based approaches, and holding restorative conversations with students are beneficial.

This position starts Term 1, 2027.

Interviews will be scheduled throughout and after the application time based on CV suitability and to suit applicants.
