Job summary

CARTERS Wanaka is seeking a Yardperson focused on delivering outstanding customer service. This hands-on role covers yard and showroom operations, ensuring orders are accurate, loads are safe, and the yard is well presented.

You will engage with customers and teammates to maintain a high standard of service. The role requires a valid NZ Driver's Licence, forklift endorsement with OSH certificate, and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid NZ Driver's Licence is required.
• Forklift with F Endorsement and OSH Certificate required.
• Natural ability to build trust with customers.
• Proficient with computer systems and stock paperwork.
• Strong awareness of health and safety in a warehouse environment.
• Physically fit for lifting and manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Keep yard, showroom and bulk store clean, tidy and well presented.
• Spot hazards and help maintain a safe branch environment.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and teammates.
• Process orders accurately and load deliveries safely.
• Ensure deliveries meet legal and safety requirements.
• Scan and label stock and manage dispatch paperwork.
• Unload deliveries and check goods against documentation.
• Contribute to cycle counts and stocktakes.
