Job summary

Carters Madras Street in Christchurch is hiring a Yardperson to keep the yard, showroom and bulk store clean and well stocked. You will load orders, scan stock, and help deliver safe, accurate customer service with a strong focus on health and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a NZ Driver's Licence, a forklift licence with F endorsement and OSH cert, and are comfortable with computers and stock processes. This is a hands-on, team-based role in a well-established Kiwi brand.

Qualifications

• Valid New Zealand Driver's Licence is required.
• Forklift licence with F endorsement and OSH Certificate is required.
• Strong people skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Proficient in computer systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Keep yard, showroom and bulk store clean, tidy and well presented.
• Spot hazards and support a safe branch.</br> environment.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and teammates.
• Fill and load customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load trucks safely and ensure deliveries meet safety rules.
• Scan and label stock correctly and process dispatch paperwork.
• Unload deliveries and verify goods against documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts and stocktakes.
