Job summary

Ritchies in New Zealand is recruiting an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Takanini crew on a permanent basis. You’ll perform proactive and reactive maintenance across our bus fleet and carry out COF inspections, servicing, and fault diagnostics on a variety of vehicle brands.

Experience with electric vehicles is a bonus as we move toward a more sustainable future. The role demands a practical, safety‑minded team player who can work well both with others and independently.

Qualifications

• NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive qualification or equivalent automotive workshop experience.
• Current NZ Driver's License Class 1 (ideally up to Class 4).
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Able to lift up to 25kg and work safely in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and reactive maintenance across the fleet.
• Perform COF inspections and day-to-day repairs.
• Service and diagnose faults across bus brands.
• Adhere to Waka Kotahi regulations and safety procedures.

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Takanini crew on a permanent basis. Working on a variety of vehicle brands, this role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, COF inspections, and day-to-day repairs across our fleet. Experience with electric vehicles will be a bonus as we transition toward a more sustainable future.

You have an interest in working on buses!

Your Skills
