Job summary

NZCL is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist people in their home and community around Marton. The role is part-time on weekends, with 6 hours per week (3 hours Sat, 3 hours Sun). You will help clients participate in activities they choose, such as swimming, events, arts and crafts, and shopping.

Applicants should have a caring attitude, good communication, and a valid NZ driver's license with access to a vehicle. NZ residency or valid work permit is required.

• Experience caring for others in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Full driver's license and own vehicle essential.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

This is a part time weekend role starting at 6 hours of work per week. Saturday 3hrs and Sunday 3hrs

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth.
• Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
• A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
