Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Wellbeing Carer at Enfield Care Home to create joyful, engaging activities that enrich residents' daily lives. You will facilitate social events, assist with meals and outings, and provide emotional support, while maintaining hygiene and collaborating with the care team.

The role emphasizes building belonging and connecting residents with meaningful experiences, within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
• First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one)
• Australian driver's licence preferable

Responsibilities

• Be the fun facilitator: help residents explore interests with activities and outings.
• Social butterfly: connect residents through games, chats and social events.
• Supportive companion: assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support.
• Resident champion: gather feedback to ensure activities meet residents' needs.
• Team player: collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities and document progress.
• Hygiene hero: maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols.
• Catering support: assist with plating and serving meals while respecting dietary preferences

Bupa Enfield is a modern care home set in a quiet suburb of Adelaide. You will be close to the local community with neighbouring schools and variety of small shopping centres and plazas nearby. It consists of 68 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

Here’s what you'll do:

• Be the fun facilitator: You'll help residents explore their interests, both within the care home and beyond. From art classes and gardening clubs to day trips and movie nights, you'll make sure there's something for everyone.
• Social butterfly extraordinaire: Whether it's a lively game of bingo or a quiet chat over afternoon tea, you'll be the friendly face who connects residents and fosters a sense of belonging.
• More than just activities: You'll be a supportive companion, assisting with daily living like mealtimes and outings, and offering emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
• Resident champion: Your voice matters! You'll gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities truly hit the mark.
• Team player: You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and
