Job summary

Bupa Ascot Care Home in Glengarry, Invercargill, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents with mobility, documentation, and social engagement. This permanent part-time role offers a stable roster and a warm, caring team environment.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will bring a Level 3/4 caregiving qualification, medication competency, and a passion for elderly care. The position emphasizes safety, dignity, and community involvement within a supportive workplace.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average Minimum of 26 hoursa week.
• Shift Time: 7am – 3pm and 4pm - 10pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Bupa Ascot Care Home is located in Glengarry, Invercargill, opposite Ascot Park Raceway. The care home is surrounded by landscaped gardens and offers a warm, welcoming environment for residents.

As a Caregiver, you'll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll need to make it possible:

• Hold a Level 3 or 4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competencyif Level 4 and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand - this role is not viable for sponsorship.
