Davin Industries, now part of the Stratco Group and operating from Christchurch, New Zealand, is seeking motivated Welders/Metal Fabricators to join our team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, read engineering drawings, and ensure weld quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• MIG and TIG welding experience across steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Commitment to safety rules and high workmanship standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a range of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) to achieve code standards for weld testing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

• Safe operating focus with knowledge of welding safety procedures and standards
• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding across all above materials.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Great team player
