Northbridge Executive in Hamilton is seeking a Weekend Supervisor & Mechanical Breakdown 2IC to lead a team of seven production operators, respond to plant breakdowns, and coordinate maintenance activities.

This hands-on role combines leadership with maintenance responsibilities, emphasizing safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with training and career growth opportunities in a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fitter or in a plant maintenance/manufacturing environment.
• Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
• A hands-on approach across multiple operation areas.
• Strong communication and ability to build relationships.
• Proactive focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of seven production operators to meet daily targets.
• Respond to plant breakdowns and coordinate escalation as needed.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and planned shutdowns.
• Coach, train and support team members to foster a positive culture.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and reporting.
