Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd. is seeking an experienced Water Technician to join the Hastings team. This hands-on position delivers, maintains, and operates essential water infrastructure across the network, including repairs, faults response, and planned maintenance to ensure safe and reliable water services.

You will work with a solid crew, prioritise safety, and contribute to community outcomes on a daily basis. The role requires a Class 2 licence and Water qualification Level 3/4, with potential

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 or 4 Water qualification.
• Minimum full Class 2 licence is required.
• Experience in 3 Waters maintenance; PE pipe work and pipe welding advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong communication and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• Committed to safety and the hands-on outdoor nature of this role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on water mains, service lines, hydrants, and related assets.
• Complete residential and commercial connections, including backflow preventer installation.
• Support pipe installation, maintenance, pressure testing, and sterilisation of new mains before connection to the network.
• Install valves, hydrants and fittings to a high standard.
• Work across planned and reactive maintenance, with some overtime and weekend work when needed.
