Fulton Hogan Hastings is seeking an experienced Water Technician to join our team, delivering and maintaining essential water infrastructure across the network. The role focuses on repairs, fault response, and supporting planned maintenance to keep water services safe and reliable.

You'll work hands-on with water reticulation assets, collaborate with the crew, and contribute to ensuring high standards of safety and service delivery while supporting on-site operations in Hawke's Bay.

Qualificações

• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
• Commitment to safety, wellbeing, and the inherent requirements of a hands‑on outdoor role.
• 2–3 years’ experience in water reticulation.
• Experience in 3 waters maintenance, with PE pipework and pipe welding an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on water reticulation assets including water mains, service lines, hydrants, tobies, valves, and related fittings.
• Complete residential and commercial water connections, including backflow preventer installation.
• Support pipe installation, maintenance, pressure testing, and sterilisation of new mains before connection to the network.
• Install hydrants, valves, and associated reticulation fittings to a high standard.
• Work flexibly across planned and reactive maintenance, with some overtime and weekend work when required.

We’re looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our Hastings team.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll help deliver, maintain, and operate essential water infrastructure across the network, including water reticulation assets. Day to day, you’ll carry out repairs, respond to faults, support planned maintenance, and help keep water services safe, reliable, and up to standard.
