Whanganui District Council is looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused 3 Waters Support Officer to join our team at 179 St Hill Street, Whanganui.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm.
As a key member of our 3 Waters team, you'll be a central point of contact connecting customers, contractors, field crews and office-based staff. You'll support operational activities, coordinate information, manage customer enquiries, administer water meter processes, and help deliver essential services to our community.
About You
We're looking for someone with strong judgement, good situational awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You'll enjoy helping others, communicating clearly, and ensuring people receive accurate and timely information. While you won't always have all the answers, you'll be confident seeking information, managing expectations, and keeping people informed.
