Job summary

GHD in Hamilton (or New Plymouth) is seeking a Water/Civil Engineer to join our national water team. You will investigate, design and implement a range of projects across stormwater, water supply, wastewater and transport, while building strong client relationships.

You will prepare reports and deliverables and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across GHD offices, mentoring graduates and junior engineers. Excellent communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

Civil engineering degree and 5+ years in the field.
Knowledge of industry design standards and guidelines.
Experience with public and private sector work.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Proficiency with Excel and Word.
Experience with 12D, Civil3D, ACAD, GIS.

Responsibilities

Investigate, design and implement projects including stormwater, water supply, wastewater, transport and multidisciplinary works.
Develop and maintain good relationships with clients to ensure project outcomes and satisfaction.
Prepare high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables.
Work in office and site-based roles with virtual teams across GHD offices.
Provide guidance, training and mentoring to graduate design engineers.
