Stantec’s Water team in New Zealand has a strong portfolio delivering water, wastewater and stormwater projects across communities. This Contracts Manager role focuses on procurement and construction phases, with oversight of scope, schedule, budget and risk to ensure delivery success.

We value experience with NZS39XX contracts, strong cost estimating and tendering skills, and clear communication to coordinate subcontractors, supervisors, and suppliers effectively.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ relevant professional experience including NZS39XX contracts.
• Solid cost estimating, tender preparation and report writing skills.
• Clear and consistent communication to build trust and provide support to peers and clients.
• Coordination/management of sub-contractors, site supervisors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including management of scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk.
• Undertake site inspections, field investigations, feasibility assessments and constructability reviews to support project delivery.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including cost estimates, tender documentation, contract administration records and project reports.
• Assist with tender evaluations and provide support during procurement and construction phases.
• Monitor project financial performance, including tracking, forecasting and reporting of construction activities.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and internal teams to support project outcomes.
