Job summary

Citycare Water in Masterton is seeking an experienced Network Serviceperson to monitor and maintain water, wastewater and stormwater networks, diagnose faults, perform repairs and operate field equipment.

You’ll work safely with customers and colleagues, join after-hours on-call roster, bring a practical hands-on approach, and help improve community water services.

We’ll support learning and growth, with a safety-first culture and opportunities across 10 locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 1 driver licence required.
• Relevant experience in water, utilities, civil construction, plumbing, drainage or maintenance.
• Safety-first approach, practical problem-solving, and ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and identify risks to ensure reliable water, wastewater and stormwater services.
• Diagnose faults and complete planned or reactive repairs to mains, service pipes, meters, valves, and hydrants.
• Carry out trenching and excavation, operate plant and field equipment, and record work using digital systems.
• Work safely with customers, contractors and the team; participate in after-hours/on-call roster.
• Bring a practical, hands-on approach that makes a real difference in the community.
