Job summary

Mencast Offshore & Marine Pte Ltd is seeking a Waste Management Compliance professional to oversee regulatory adherence and continuous improvement of waste handling practices. This role requires a Diploma in a related field and several years of experience in waste management and compliance.

Responsibilities include inspections, plan development, data analysis, staff training, and interactions with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

Diploma in environmental science or engineering with several years of waste management/regulatory experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in English; well written.
Experience as Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
Knowledge of waste regulations, risk management, and legal controls.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of waste management facilities to ensure compliance.
Develop and implement waste management plans to minimize waste and promote recycling.
Review waste data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with sales, operation & Lab on waste handling per NEA requirements; train staff.
Maintain records of permits, inspections, and reports.
Communicate with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries.
Participate in environmental audits and develop corrective actions.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and recommend improvements.
