Job summary

Goodman Fielder in Auckland is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader for the Auckland Freight Centre (AFC) in Penrose. You will support the Warehouse Manager to drive peak efficiency and customer satisfaction in our warehouse and logistics network.

Based in Penrose, you will implement strategic plans, lead a skilled team, manage rostering, training, and inventory control, and ensure SOPs, HSE, and change initiatives are applied across the site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leading a pick-pack warehouse operation.
• Experience in FMCG environment preferred.
• RMP and Health & Safety procedures preferred.
• MPI TFO approved preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer complaints, investigate root cause and drive the alignment of uniformed processes across the team.
• Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
• Supervise, train and direct assistance of warehouse operations including loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
• Ensure all operational and HSE SOPs are documented and kept up to date. Administration for RMP requirements
• Workforce rostering and approving labour hours, annual leave etc (Kronos, Temp agencies)
• Ensure correct inventory control processes, reconciliation of discrepancies and efficient picking operations
• Site maintenance and MHE is kept to standard, vendor p/o creation and vendor invoice reconciliation
• Maintain accurate personnel records to ensure no non-conformance i.e. Training matrix, licences
• Management of the CHEP account.
• Train the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and improve performance
• Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
• Evaluating performance and providing feedback to support growth and development through the creation of skill matrix
