Job summary

ABB is seeking a Warehouse Leader in Napier, NZ to oversee a two-shift operation within our manufacturing unit. You will manage warehousing processes, data integrity in ERP, and staff performance while driving safety and efficiency.

Shared leadership responsibilities include coaching, staffing decisions, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain continuous improvement and meet production goals.

Qualifications

• You are highly skilled in leadership and team management.
• Experience leading teams across multiple shifts or extended operating hours.
• Proven conflict resolution and performance management skills.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems like SAP.
• Experience working in a New Zealand manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate data in the ERP system.
• Lead, develop, and mentor team members while ensuring staffing and performance.
• Ensure warehouse procedures enable correct data entry for inward and outward movement.
• Optimize warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization with the Warehouse Manager.
• Identify operational improvements and oversee implementation of enhancements.
• Resolve critical product or equipment issues with internal teams.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure daily safe practices.
• Build engagement and accountability across shifts with open communication.
• Participate in regular inventory control processes.
• Balance people leadership with operational delivery in a fast-paced environment.
