Advanced Personnel Services in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy day‑shift operation. You will drive pick, check and dispatch activities, ensure safety, and foster continuous improvement while staying hands‑on with the team.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of warehouse supervision, forklift experience, and HACCP awareness, with strong planning, communication, and problem solving skills. Immediate start for a temp‑to‑permanent opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience supervising warehouse staff.
• Strong warehousing and forklift experience.
• A current OSH Forklift Certificate.
• Hands‑on leadership style—you’re willing to get stuck in with the team.
• Experience working with HACCP requirements.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• Confidence managing conflict and difficult conversations.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Experience applying team‑based improvement techniques.
• An understanding of how operational decisions affect costs and performance.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast‑paced freight environment.

Advanced Personnel Services – Manawatu County

We’re looking for an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy day‑shift operation in Palmerston North.

This is not a sit‑behind‑the‑desk role. You’ll work alongside your team, keeping the pick, check and dispatch functions running safely and efficiently while driving performance and continuous improvement.

What’s on offer

• Monday to Friday, 10:00am–7:00pm
• Rostered Saturdays when required
• $28–$30 per hour, depending on experience
• Temp-to-permanent opportunity

Important working conditions

You must be comfortable working in a temperature‑controlled environment ranging from 2°C to -18°C. Most duties are completed in the chiller, with some work inside the freezer.
