Job summary

Vending Direct is seeking a reliable Storeperson to join the warehouse team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role focuses on packing restock orders for vending machines, restocking inventory, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Candidate should be physically fit, safety-conscious and detail-oriented, with prior warehouse experience and ability to work with handheld devices. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pack vending machine restock orders efficiently and accurately.

• Unload deliveries and maintain a clean, safe warehouse workspace.
• Perform other duties to support daily warehouse operations.

Vending Direct supply vending machines and service to customers and locations throughout New Zealand.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Storeperson to join our warehouse team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, covering parental leave.

This role is responsible for picking and packing vending machine restock orders, preparing wholesale pantry orders, maintaining stock levels, operating a pallet straddler forklift, unloading deliveries and supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.

The successful candidate will be organised, physically capable, safety-conscious and have a strong attention to detail.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

Packing Vending Machine Restock Orders

Efficiently pack bins and boxes for refilling vending machines.

Accurately pack orders for our wholesale pantry customers.

Highlight out-of-stock items on pack sheets and notify your manager.

Utilize handheld devices to pick and pack stock, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Restocking and Inventory Management

Regularly restock shelves and bins to maintain inventory levels.

Participate in monthly stock takes and other inventory counts as required.

Forklift Operation and Manual Handling

Safely operate a pallet straddler forklift to manage inventory and assist in the movement of goods.

Handle and unload trucks manually, ensuring the careful handling of all products.

Warehouse Organization

Clean and organize the warehouse as directed to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.

Ability to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items.

Proficiency with handheld devices for stock management.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
